In this video, I'm going to show you how to go through and add schema markup to an article

and I'm going to actually do it on WildFog, and I'll probably do several examples to give you an idea

Yeah, it's going to help. What is schema markup? Schema markup was created in 2011 by Google, Bing, Yahoo, and later Yandex

and basically it is code to tell the Google search engines or the search engines exactly what is on your page that you have

It's very good idea to have the article schema markup on all of your pages

And then there's also some other ones. The main ones that I find for my niches are FAQ schema and how to schema

Those are important ones. If you have a website like a recipe blog

this is a must. Because not only does it go through and do these things

it also makes your search results look better. And if you're doing a recipe, it's all about how it looks

And a lot of times you'll be able to add pictures and as you go and be able to see the steps

For example, for the how-to, I can add a picture for every time. And then I could say, this is what you do on this step

So by going through and putting author schema on here, it helps to go through and show who

you are, who that author is. Now, you're going to want to do other things like create an about page, a team page, a bio

page, you know, for the author and make sure you have social links so you can prove that you are a

real person because that is mainly what expertise is all about. This is huge if you're an affiliate

marketing. If it's just an info site, it's not as important at the moment, but if you are selling

So with that, I'm going to go through and add these so I can establish and I build up that

expertise. Yeah, is it really hard? Not the way I'm doing it. So I'll show you two ways. I'll show you the

easy way and the hard way. The easy way obviously is with a plug-in and the harder way is going through

and doing code. Not that it's hard, it's just more time-consuming. But I'll show you both ways

So let's go ahead and get started. A lot of the information for schema can be found on schema.org. There are a lot of the information for schema can be found on schema.org. There are a lot of

of different other types of schema that are available. And one of the most popular is the review

where you actually have a star rating. The star ratings are nice because they actually show up on the

Google page when you're going through and searching. You might see a product with stars. That's them

using schema. So going here, I can find FAQs on this article and this would be great for an FAQ schema

to be set up. So to do a schema, what you would need to do is go to something, just Google

creating schema. And here you can create stuff. You could choose FAQ page, and then it'll be like

question one. And here we're going to take the first question. We're going to put it here

And we're going to go to the answer. And then we're going to put it here. And then we could

hit add question or this is our script here. JSON is the popular one and that's the one that

even do this. When we're in this page, they have a cool thing that says test schema. So we can click

test schema. It's going to put the link in, hit enter automatically. Now we just wait, and we're

going to see what schema is currently on this page. Here we go. There's three items detected

Remember, we added the article to every page. So this page has the article. Remember we added
