Let's talk about Azoic ads
0:01
In this video, I'm going to go through and talk about all the different settings you can have for the ads
0:06
and talk about which ones should be removed and which one should stay depending on your website
0:12
I'm going to go through and let you know what each ad looks like and give you a great idea
0:16
So with all that said, let's go ahead and dive into the video and I'm going to go ahead and show you everything through my Azoic
0:26
All right, here's WildFog. We're going to go into Azoic Ads Porte
0:29
here. This is through Azoic. Azoic is an ad company that you get for your websites, and you basically make money by showing ads. I do an affiliate link down below that's going to be active for a little less than a month at this point, and they are actually shutting that down. However, I am going to still be promoting Azoic as I feel it's the only platform in this area that's going to go through and give us a benefit of ads. If you have a small website and it's not up to 50,000 plus views a month, Azoic really does fill that
0:59
So because of that, I'm sticking with them. Overall, I've had a great experience through them
1:05
So let's go and click Azoic Ads. And here it's going to bring us to our Azoic Ads
1:10
Right away, you're going to have your ads set up, your placeholders. This is where they're going to appear on your page
1:17
And there is a plugin that does this for you. So I do recommend using the plugin
1:22
And then ad type, this is where I want to spend a good amount of time. We're going to talk about native ads first
1:28
Native ads are just the ads that are going to be on your website, just normal ads
1:33
And with this, you can do PG-13. PG-13 does pay 10% higher, and I think that's a good idea to have those ads
1:43
So that's what I have selected here. So next we have vignette ads
1:47
And you're going to notice for me it's turned off. I don't really like vignette ads
1:52
However, they do usually increase your revenue by 20%. So it is up to you
1:58
I've talked to Kyle Roof and he actually said that it is against Google's policy to have vignette ads
2:04
So I don't want to turn them on and get a strike through Google. What a vignette ad is, it's an ad that pops up in the middle of the screen when you try to go to the next page
2:14
and you're forced to click either close or X or something to go to the next page
2:21
It's basically like an ad stopper in the middle of continuing your voyage on the website
2:26
So with these, I recommend turning them off unless you're just putting ads on a website that you don't care about much
2:33
And yeah, believe it or not, I have one of those. I have an old website. Generate some money each month and it doesn't never really did well
2:41
So I throw ads on there and I let it go crazy. So I leave it on that site, but all the other sites, I do remove it
2:48
Auto insert is going to be your AI placements. You want to enable this. Basically, it's going to use AI on your site to make sure
2:56
it placing the ads correctly and placing them in the right spot And it may shift or modify your site if it needs to go through and get it set up perfectly So it up to you if you want to do that
3:09
The enable placeholders, this could shift your placeholders and kind of move your site a bit
3:14
So just know it might be a tiny bit out of whack if you keep this on
3:18
but by default, this is turned on. Anchor ads are those ads on the bottom
3:24
that are going to pop up and not go away. Usually you have to hit the X. or close to get rid of them. And anchor ads, they do, again, earn a lot of money. So if you want
3:35
them, I would leave them on. For this, I do leave them on because it's only the bottom of it. And
3:41
it's usually a 10 to 20 percent earning increase. And with those numbers, it's going to really
3:47
help out. So overall, I leave anchor ads on. And I am running my wild fog website, which we're
3:53
talking about right now, in balance mode, which is in the middle. It's not
3:57
not revenue focus, it's not customer focused, it's in the middle. Next to go to side rails
4:02
These are pretty new. Basically, if you have a website and you don't have stuff on the left and the right
4:09
this would be great because it's going to put ads on the left and the right of your website
4:12
automatically for you. So going to Wildfog, these are side rails here
4:16
You got this one on the right. You got this one on the left. So they're going to be there and they're sticky and they're stickied
4:23
So as you scroll down, they stay there. It's very similar to the anchor ad
4:27
This is the anchor ad down here. You have to hit the X. And then I have sidebar ads
4:33
As you can see, I scroll down. And sometimes they also have a sticky ad, which is going to be next
4:41
If they have a sticky ad, that would be over here. You would see an ad like this, but no matter how far you scroll it stays on the sidebar
4:49
So I'm not being presented with one of those right now, but that is an option that's available here
4:55
So that's side rails. And sticky bar we just went over. If you do have a sidebar, I really think it's a good idea to do these
5:02
They can make a good amount of money. They're kind of just like floating there, especially if your sidebar has empty space
5:08
Because with mine here, I don't have a lot of stuff. You know, I come over here, add
5:14
I have a search bar. I have recent posts. And that's it on this website
5:19
So because of that, there's lots of room for ads. And I usually say to do a sidebar because you can earn
5:25
some extra money by getting more real estate. This is mainly going to kick in on desktop computers
5:31
because sidebars on mobile are put all the way at the bottom of the article, so it's only going
5:36
to really affect the desktop. So sticky sidebar overall, I leave on. Floating video, this is if you have
5:42
a video down on the bottom right hand corner and the video will come on and play automatically
5:47
however, it will be muted and it will just stay there until you close it. I did like this at first
5:55
I noticed the ad revenue wasn't really worth it right now because the ad money is a little lower
6:00
than it usually is with everything going on with the economy Because ads are lower that causing things not to be worth the experience as much So with this I decided to turn it off
6:12
If you're thinking about it, try it. Give it a try, see it, go to your website a bit, see if it's okay for you, see if it bothers you
6:19
You know, everyone's going to be a little different on that. Then we have placement services
6:23
This is basically just AI trying to go through an auto insert stuff
6:27
Expanding article ads, this is where you'll have an ad. and it'll have a button and it'll say click more and it'll actually open it to expand
6:37
I haven't used this before, so I don't know much about this
6:42
but I could see this taking up a lot of room in the content area
6:46
So because of that, I'm just going to leave it off, though you may want to experiment with this one
6:50
And then beta experiences, if you want to try the ads before they come out, you can also turn that on
6:56
Now the Exoic, they also have a revenue issues. So I have seven, I can click here and I can look through and they can auto fix these
7:04
The first ones to enable vignette ads. As I said, I don't want to do that. Humix, I don't want to turn Humix on right now
7:11
I monitored it and I was making a good amount of money on the videos that I put up
7:15
but not a good amount of money with the videos I was playing. So because of that, I'm going to kind of leave that off for now
7:22
But definitely test because every website's different. If you want to try Humix, go ahead and give it a shot
7:28
auto select videos, floating video ads like we just talked about, and then replace YouTube videos
7:35
with Humix videos. Because I have a YouTube channel, I really want them to subscribe on my
7:40
YouTube channel. So because of that, I don't want to replace it. If I was using videos that I
7:46
didn't really care about the YouTube channel, then I would probably do that. This one here
7:50
enable box sizes and mobile banner sizes on all placeholders. You're losing okay. Basically it's saying
7:57
hey, you should be doing this. So I don't have the right sizes
8:02
And this one, yeah, I think they're right. I think I should fix this one because this is one that doesn't look bad
8:07
I would like to have different boxes. I already have the ad there. So why not allow different sizes to fit there
8:13
So I'm going to hit fit selecting, and it's going to say we're working on it
8:18
and it's been saved successfully. So they're going to go through and take care of that. And that's a really nice feature for a Zoic
8:24
where you don't have to go through and figure out where to fix that. I'm going to go over the rest here real quick
8:29
You have AdSense Mediation. So here you can link a account. For me, I have my Google account linked
8:36
Basically what mediation is. You have another ad network competing with Azoic
8:41
Whichever one pays more gets the ad. And then Google will pay me and Azoic will pay me
8:47
So they're basically separate. But Azoic allows them to compete, which is really nice for ads
8:53
because if they are bidding against each other, that will go through and get you more money
8:57
or if Google's paying a lot more, you'll get more money. On this website I notice with Google AdSense every once in a while people really target this niche maybe for like a day And all of a sudden my mediation goes to the roof like every three months like one day
9:14
every three months. And it's really nice to see that. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay that way
9:19
But without having Google AdSense as one of the mediations, it would never show up here
9:25
They have your ad transparency, your ads. We already went over the revenue fixed
9:30
We just took a shortcut before. Ad sales, if you want to direct ad sales, you could do that
9:36
Add sales pages and also charity ads. Add restriction, if you want to have a max ads per page, a lot of my pages are pretty long
9:46
so I don't want to do that because if they keep scrolling, I want to keep making money on my sites
9:51
So I leave that alone. Ad category, this is where you can change what you like
9:56
If you want ads to show for social casino games, you can enable that, however, I wouldn't recommend that one
10:06
Or if you don't want religion or dating, you could turn those off
10:10
I pretty much leave it as it is right now. It's tough because I'm not really into politics
10:15
but I don't want to turn it off because at times those ads pay very well
10:20
So pick and choose what you want to go through and enable here, or just leave it as it is
10:24
The more you have, the more competition, the higher your EPMV, which is how much you make per thousand ads will be
10:32
Disable ads by pages, anything that I have a buyer's guide on where I'm selling an affiliate product
10:37
I disable those ads because I don't want them to be confused or bargained with when I'm selling, for example, this here
10:47
You're on disable ads by page. All you want to do is go through and choose a new rule and go ahead and disable it with the page
10:55
Add restrictions if you want to use the app, advertiser blockers. Basically, if someone's blocking your ads, you can block stuff
11:03
Google violations, if you have any objective content, if there's any words in any of your
11:07
articles that might be saying something advertisers don't like, it'll let you know
11:12
Optimization goals, this is where you can pick stuff. Basically, most people go with balance the default
11:19
During the holidays, like November, December, some people change it to revenue focus to try
11:23
to gain as much as they can, and then they might change it back to balanced in January
11:28
You could also do custom settings, or you can. user experienced. Split testing is if you want to run ads on some and not on others. For me
11:36
I run ads 100% of the time on all the devices because I feel like you're just leaving money
11:41
on a table if you lower that number. That is all the ad types and what I recommend for Zoic
11:46
Of course, every site is different. So make sure you go through and figure out what works best for you
11:53
I really hope this was helpful and thank you so much for the view
