Welcome back. Today we're going to talk about the YouTube channels, how they did in the month of January

Month of January is always tough with lower ads. Usually doesn't affect YouTube as badly as it does with websites, but it definitely still affects it a good amount

You just won't see as huge of a drop because video ads are just so important and I feel like they don't get hit as hard

Now you're still going to see like 40% drops, but websites usually it's like 50 plus

So you will see some things happen here. We're going to start with Kevin's stats

Yes, that's the channel you're watching now. I'm going to show you how much it makes and how we're doing

This is basically the second month that has been monetized to be the first full month

This is what we're looking at here. We got a new achievement, 5,000 hours of watch time. How

quickly that next 1,000 came. The first 4,000 were so slow, but I guess once you get monetized

you don't even pay attention to the watch hours as much. Last video I did was my January website

video, which usually the income reports do the best for the website version. This type, not as

We had a little bit lower average duration, But don't forget, I put a one minute video out because I had to do something for a few different things lately

And that did lower it a bit. Again, the audience, you can see a lot of return visitors on new videos

But then once the video stopped, the return viewers did go down a bit because probably there's just not any new content for them to see

A lot of them will be targeting search and probably number one through three in their search because this isn't a very big topic that's covered a lot

So that's why I try to do as I do it the best I can. This is January. We had 453,000 views, about the same as usual. And we had 868 new subscribers
