I've joined the Amazon Influencer Program and today I'm going to go ahead and talk about it

let you know what I think so far and how it's going for me. I was accepted on the 1st of April

so basically I started getting paid on April 1st which did happen. I did earn some commission that

day and I've been earning daily ever since. Amazon Influencer Program, if you don't know

They basically hire people that have a social media following and you go through and verify it

And if they like it, they accept you and you make three videos

After you make the three videos, they look over it. And then if everything's good, they will approve you for on-site commission

Basically what that means is when you are on Amazon, you may find videos that are from us influencers

and if you watch the video and it's the last video you watch

and you purchase the product, then boom, I make a commission. If you watch another video after, I don't

It's whoever you end with. That's basically the gist of it and I've been making videos

I believe I'm at 54 and I got two more I'm about to do

but I wanted to take a quick break and talk about it here. I just have to edit those two

So 53 are currently live. I try to do three a day

The one day I did like 13, I was insane. But most of the time I do three a day I target

and I try to make them good videos. I don't just try to talk about the product

I like to show it, all of this stuff and how I use it

I check the customer reviews and the questions and answers. I make sure I put all that into the videos as well

So because I'm doing that, I have a pretty good conversion rate. at least I think it's just below 15%, which is on the better side

I'd say 14% to 20% is on the higher side, but sometimes people do drop pretty low

And so far, I'm making money on the Amazon Influencer Program, so much that I've kind of made that my main focus at the moment

And I've been really trying to crank out some videos. But at the same time, I'm going for quantity, but I still am putting in the quality

I want to make sure there's some importance to it. Because even though the Amazon Influencer program is still somewhat new

even though it's been around for years, I believe, it's getting to the point where the videos are starting to come out quicker and quicker

People are really going with quantity. And when that happens, there's going to be enough videos where the quantity is going to go down

and the quality is going to need to go up. And once they have YouTube type algorithmic measurements, they will go through and do that

Because if you have a trash video that gets a conversion rate of 2% and you have a good

video that gets 15 conversions what do you think Amazon going to want to show the person that coming They want to show them the 15 So that is great And I really do like the program

However, there are some things that I'm not really fond of that have been changing lately

which is customer review videos have been moving up. So they get paid nothing

But if they're watched after mine, then I lose the commission. They also allow ratings now in those

So a lot of times they take those five star videos and they push it in the Amazon video area in the carousel right underneath us

So, for example, you'd be on Amazon, you'd flip through pictures. All of a sudden you get to a video and we click on the video

It'll usually be the manufacturer video. Then after that, you would have influencer videos

And then after that, you would have customer videos. So they have all of those going on now

And a lot of people have noticed dips in revenue because of that. However, since I'm new, I'm not really noticing it that much, but I'm not taking off as much as other people said

However, I just need some extra revenue. I'm not looking to be a millionaire off this, but if it would happen, it would happen, obviously

I do get paid from Amazon Affiliate through websites, and that is probably the strongest payment I get every month

It used to be YouTube, but YouTube has been fading more and more on ad sales

So because of that, the YouTube checks are not that high anymore

But the Amazon ones, you know, when they're good, they're good. Because of that, I have a lot of faith in Amazon

However, I'm treading very carefully. So how much money have I made since the first

Well, they don't like me to show the numbers. So I'm not going to be showing the Amazon numbers anymore

However, it's probably about if I averaged it right now, I'm probably making

It's probably about $5 a day if I average it through the whole 18 days

However, recently it's been in the higher numbers. I have hit as much as $14 in one day

So it is going up. However, the days are inconsistent. So it's not like you get 10, 10, 10, 10

You might get, you know, 15, 2, 7, 2, 15. So it's kind of all over the place

Why am I so excited about this program, though, compared to other areas

It's because I am not controlling the platform itself, which is both great and terrifying

You know, if I want to get someone over to buy a ride-on car from my RC ride-on, I have

to optimize an article, I have to get to traffic, get to click, and then I got to get it over

to Amazon. With this, they're already on Amazon. They're already buying. I just have to let them know everything else they need to know to make the purchase

So you're already in the door. You know, I don't have to push people to Amazon

There's a lot of people on Amazon. So all I have to do is make good videos and hopefully get that helpful you know thumbs up because I sure that helps a lot as well But also you know it terrifying that it not me directing them because all of a sudden the video views you know if they don have that carousel at the top the creator view videos are all the way at the bottom now

So you got to scroll for a while till you get there, which makes it a little rough

You know, the videos went down and now you have the customer videos up there

So they're changing a lot. Commission's going to be heard a lot, but it's still a strong program from what I'm seeing

And I'm, you know, how many websites have I created where the first 18 days I made almost $80

None, none. It takes months to get there. I mean, Wild Fog was just getting, was there for a little bit with Amazon commission

It was close to that. So, I mean, that took 13 months and I'm only 18 days in and I'm already making that

And the numbers will go up as I put more videos. But the competition is also getting very high up at the same time because a lot of people

are finding out about this. And it's kind of like a gold rush. Everyone's trying to get in

You just need a social media following and there's ways to get around that

Instagram is probably the number one area. You start an Instagram account

You follow popular people. You follow 100 people a day. 10 of them might follow you back

You unfollow them later. You follow another 100 people. And a lot of people can go through and hack Instagram that way by getting more followers

And once you get enough, you should be able to go ahead and get in

My Instagram following is not that high, and I was able to get in, I think I have 2,100 followers on Instagram

However, with YouTube, it was a lot harder to get in. A lot of my Medium channels did not get in

I had to use Helpful Tutorials, which is around 22,000 subscribers, and that got in

I know TikTok is really hard as well, and Twitter is no longer. They don't even let you get in with Twitter anymore, however they used to

So a lot of cool things about the program though, because you can really make a good amount

if you find the right niche. You know, not to mention the free products

Yeah, you get free products. You know, once you start targeting an area

you know, you can get free products. So I did the essential oils and that video did very well

So I had someone reach out to me and want to send me free essential oils to do a video. Sure

So I did that video. What else happened? I just got another video to do, an install video of a bed frame

And it's not just a bed frame though, there's like storage underneath it and everything

And I was like, that's great, because we could use extra storage in our bed frame currently

You know, it works, but we just have everything stuffed under the bed. That's storage

So I was like this is a item you just gonna send it to me make a video Sure So I got that and we got to put that together That going to be a chore But you get free stuff especially when you focused in certain areas

So if I did a video recently on my one dog toy for my dog, and now all of a sudden I'm

getting requests like for a dog mat and other stuff like that

So it's very interesting to see what you want to target. You could really niche down and it's surprising how many Amazon products you have in your home

Even if you don't buy on Amazon, a lot of products will actually still be sold on Amazon

So that's really nice. So my overall opinion of the Amazon Influencer Program is it's going to be a great outlet

to make some extra money and get some free stuff. I'm all about getting free stuff

I'm getting a lot of emails about getting free stuff. So I have started asking for money as well, which is fine

You are allowed to do that with Amazon. You just have to disclose that you got the product for free, which is very easy to do

I still didn't do all my tech stuff. I got a lot of tech stuff in this room and that's going to be a day or two of going through

all of that. And I'm sure after that, I'm going to be getting keyboards galore because I already get keyboards

and headsets offered to me on YouTube all the time and microphones

so I think that'll be very interesting and my son will love it because he's gonna get a lot of free

yesterday so she got approved and then she just got videos up yesterday so nothing yet on her side
